Christmas couldn't be enjoy to it's fullest this year...because Elisa's dog, Bo-Bo was hit by a car. We rushed her to the emergency vet, but it was too late. I love dogs, but don't want one for a LONG time because my last 2 dogs also got hit by a car. It's too heartbreaking and sometimes, it's just so hard to keep the dogs from running out of the house. So no dogs for me for A WHILE. You grow so attached to them, as if they were your kids.

Rest in peace, Bo-Bo...you will always have a place in my heart...

Infomercials are hilarious!

Isn't it hilarious when you watch infomercials and they make the most basic things look so damn complicated?! Ha ha ha...and it's not intended to be funny either! I guess they'll do anything just to sell their product. Here's the commercial I just saw:

That's just a backwards robe!!! And pay attention at 1:04 to 1:06...they're actually wearing in public! LOL who the hell would wear THAT in public?! They might as well make it white and have pointy hats while they're at it. Here's another one:

Who actually pours pasta like the beginning of the video? They make it seem like pouring out the water is sooooo friggin' hard! Not only do they make something simple look so difficult to do, but they hella over exaggerate!

My 23rd birthday (Halloween)

I hope ya'll had a fun and safe Halloween! I sure had a great 23rd birthday! I started off the day by going out with my family to eat @ Moonstar for lunch. We hardly get to go out and eat as a family, so this meant a lot to me, especially because my grandma got to come along as well.

No joke, my grandma sneaks alcohol EVERYWHERE we eat! She moved back to my house 2 weeks ago and almost finished the whole bottle of Hennessy...by herself! That's a lot, especially for being 94 years old!

Then I just kicked back with my lil bro until it was time to meet up Elisa and take her cousins trick-or-treating. Nikki wanted to be a zombie this year, so here is the end result:

I liked last year's costume better though...

We even took Mariel trick-or-treating for the first time! Isn't she cute?!

We took them to Walgreens so Elisa's co-workers could see their costumes. Then we took them to Stonestown to do a little trick-or-treating, but I guess we were a little late because everybody was out of candy! So we headed over to St. Francis Woods (the rich neighborhood) and hunted for candy over there.

After trick-or-treating, we took the kids back home and I waited on a couple friends. We were going to a couple clubs (costume party, of course!) in downtown Frisco. I dressed up as a Jabbawockee (which Elisa claims isn't a costume, but people liked it!). The clubs were pretty crackin', alotta creativity in there! My friends dressed up as a cowboy and cowgirl! =P

It was a looooong night and didn't get home until 4AM. The following day, I had a small little get together for dinner with some close friends (A LOT of people couldn't make it).

I told those two that if they didn't know what to get me for my birthday, just to get me anything that had to do with The Simpsons. LOL so here's their "joke" present:

A friggin' Jessica Simpson CD and OJ Simpson book! Hahaha...those bastards...nah, but they actually got me a Simpsons DVD, a Simpsons series 10, and Simpsons poster book.

Here's another one of my close homeboys I met in high school and his girlfriend:

And last, but not least, me and Elisa:

And that concludes my birthday weekend...me and Elisa were supposed to go get my ear pierced and her cartilage pierced, but she left her ATM card at dinner, so we had to pick it up the next day...BUT being a lounge, they didn't open until 6PM! We're going next week, so I'll blog more later. Peace out! =P

OBAMA-nation!!!

Halloween is just around the corner, and I'm turning 23 this year. I should be graduated from college with my bachelor's already, but I'm way behind in school. The first few semester straight outta high school, I fucked up BAD. The past year, I've really put my school shit back on track and pushing myself harder and harder to graduate. I guess first things first, I gotta get outta community college. I'm still at Skyline, but applied for SFSU already. I have an appointment with my counselor this Wednesday about any final things I need to get ready before I transfer. I'm shooting for Summer '09. I'm finishing up the lower division Business classes at Skyline so when I transfer, I don't have to worry about the lower division Business core classes and just focus on the upper division. If I push myself hard enough, I'll be done with school in roughly 2 and a half years. I gotta admit that school is getting stressful and I'm really trying hard, so my grades have significantly improved.

Anyways, on a more positive note, my birthday is coming up and this year, I'm excited about buying myself a Xbox 360. I've been wanting one for the longest time, but didn't wanna spend that much money on it. Luckily the wait was definitely worth it cuz they dropped the price $100 for the 60gb! There's soooo many games I want to get for it, but I'll get a couple at a time. But I gotta make sure I'm done with my homework and all the other school shit before I even turn it on though. I'm planning to get Forza 2 and Dead Rising for the first games. Gamestop is offering a bundle with Kung Fu Panda and LEGO Indiana Jones. I'm not too excited about those games, but they ain't worth much so I might as well keep them, rather than sell them. And I'm gunna reserve Left 4 Dead cuz I love zombie games, and this game looks hella good!

I guess that's enough for now, I'm trying to relax for the rest of the night (by playing more videogames). I called off work today cuz I felt dizzy all day. It felt like I was drunk, but of course I didn't drink. I hate calling off work actually, but I did accumulated a good amount of sick days. Anyways, back to Mario Galaxy!

2 year anniversary dinner (Waterbar)

October 7, 2008 was mine and my girlfriend's 2 year anniversary. We wanted to eat somewhere somewhat classy, so she picked out the Waterbar on Embarcadero. She ate there before with some co-workers, but I didn't go because it was too pricey. But for this special occasion, it was worth it. The view was spectacular! Anywhere from the restaurant, you could see the ocean and the Bay Bridge. We just so happened to have reservation right before sunset. The ambience of the restaurant was very nice. Customer service? Hella nicer than I could imagine!

We were going to order some virgin margaritas, but we didn't see any margaritas on the menu. So we thought we'd just order a regular soda. The waitress was like, "Lemme see what I can do." She came back with a soda that had orange, pineapple, and mango, mixed with French imported raspberry syrup and mint syrup, all mixed in with soda water. It was GOOD.

For appetizers, we ordered soup (wasn't exactly sure what kind) and baked oysters with spinach and bacon. Delicious! For the main entree, I ordered a 1lb fish (forgot the name of the fish) and I don't remember the name of Elisa's dish either! The name's aren't your typical plates, that's why I can't remember the names. And to top it off, for dessert, I ordered raspberry cheesecake and my wifey ordered warming chocolate pudding covered with a brownie with a scoop of mint chocolate chip ice cream. Yummy!

I would highly recommend this restaurant, but only for special occasions (unless you're rich). The price wasn't too bad for a once-in-a-while dinner. Here's the website just in case any of you are interested in checking out this restaurant: Waterbar.

Finished!

I've been too busy lately to blog, but managed to squeeze in a little time. About a month ago, I finished my KidRobot Simpsons collection. I spent over $400 on friggin' vinyl figurines!...but it was sooo worth it! People are selling the complete set for around $500! I was on the KidRobot forums asking around if anybody had any ideas for displaying the series. One person bought a display case from the Container Store for $8 and it looks great! So I bought a couple and finally put them in the display case. Here they are!

Anywayyyys, I can't wait for my birthday! I love Halloween! Gotta love getting presents!

Experimental cooking

Me and Elisa decided to cook a little something today, so we chose Spicy Fettuccine Curry w/ Prawns & Mushrooms, and for dessert, Banana Cream pie. We liked every word in that title, so we had to try it. We started by going to the Pacific Super for as many of the ingredients as we could find (cuz it's cheaper). Then, whatever they didn't have there, we went to Lucky's to get.

We started by making the Banana Cream Pie first. We started with the crust and mashing the bananas up.

Now for the finishing touch, topping it off with bananas!

And here's our finishing product!

Now to start with the Spicy Fettuccine Curry w/ Prawns and Mushrooms, we peeled the shrimp shells and de-intestinalized (← I made up that word ^_^) them.

Elisa's good at pulling out the intestine in one long piece!

Then, Elisa chopped up the onions (and she's crying =P).

This little one is always eating!

Next step is to saute the garlic.

These are the spices that we added: Cayenne powder, Curry powder, and Ginger powder

Then add the mushrooms...

Here's Elisa breaking the Fettuccine noodles:

A little more sauteing...

In goes the cream...

And we're DONE!!!

...it was BOMB! Nice and spicy, but not too spicy! Mmm...I would hella make it again...
